Welcome to Fire Emblem Fangame Essentials!
This site is a public repository of free assets for creating Fire Emblem fangames. The bulk of the assets is in the style of GBA games, as they are the most popular among FE fangame makers due to ease of modification. You can find portraits, battle animations, class cards (for status screens), map sprites and item icons.
On credits
Almost every piece of artwork in this repository has been made by a human being. If you intend to use any asset for a public project, make sure that you credit the authors! To copy credits for a chosen asset, simply click the following button:
That is all! Now you can past the credits copied to clipboard into a text file and attach it to your project as credits.
F2U, F2E, etc.
Every asset in the repositroy is, by default, F2U. It mean Free To Use - said asset can be freely used in any of your fan-works. a lot of assets will have the F2E tag. It means Free To Edit, and alows you to modify the asset in any way you see fit. The F2E asset is shown below:
AI policy
Regarding computer-generated assets (so-called AI), these are generally allowed in the repository. However - they need to be properly labeled as such. If an asset has been created using such tools, it will appear with a special AI indicator, as shown below:
